My dear students,

I am very happy to invite you all o take part in this experience of expanding the boundaries of our classroom.
I'd like very much you to make yourselves comfortable to use this space in order to discuss the issues approached in class, as well as to propose ideas of you own.
You can also add videos, songs, articles and all sorts of stuff that can enrich your posts and our discussions in class.

I'll start by posting the video of the Shakespearean sonnet (Sonnet XVIII), sang by David Gilmour, guitarist and vocalist with the famous British rock band Pink Floyd. Some of us have watched it in class. Check it out on my following post!!

When I showed you this video, we talked about how literate some rock bands are, although most people think they are the image of the utmost alienation. Therefore, there are two other links I'd like to share with you. Both of them are Iron Maiden performances of songs they composed:

One about an historical icon, Alexander, The Great => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBieJ08ByPc

And the other one about the longest major poem by one of the most important English poets, Samuel Taylor Coleridge => http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfNAiPpApx4

See you aournd here and there,

Janine
